Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss

Hi Beauties,

I’m back this week with my favorite drugstore Lip Gloss. This is another product one of my friends introduced me to. I was in Kroger’s on the cosmetic aisle looking for some lip gloss when my friend suggested that I try Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss. I’m so glad I listened. I fell in love as soon as I applied the very first coat.

You’re guaranteed to find empty tubes of lip gloss all over my house and car. Before I wore makeup, lip gloss was the only makeup item I had. I have huge lips, with that being said I’m very particular in what kind of lip gloss that I purchase. I mainly, look for moisture, texture and thickness (Thick enough to last) . I don’t mind paying no more than $15 for a great tube of lip gloss, but in this case I paid less than $6. Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss met all of my requirements. With just two coats my juicy lips are set! For the price, it lasted as long as I needed it to.

This lip gloss works well as a top coat over your lip stick and alone. I love how inexpensive it is. Every girl needs a great tube of lip gloss.

There’s a huge variety of shades. Here’s my Top four.

  1. Solar Coral Snapchat-2083766056

  2. Pink Pop Snapchat-321875404

  3. Super Natural Snapchat-1735426360

  4. Desert Spice Snapchat-198945885

This Lip Gloss is priced at $5.97 at your local Walmart.

What’s your ride or die Lip Gloss?

I hope you enjoyed this bl0g!

Words from the wise:

“Sadness gives depth. Happiness gives height. Sadness gives roots. Happiness gives branches. Happiness is like a tree going into the sky, and sadness is like the roots going down into the womb of the earth. Both are needed, and the higher a tree goes, the deeper it goes, simultaneously. The bigger the tree, the bigger will be its roots. In fact, it is always in proportion. That’s its balance.”   – Osho

Fall Favorites 🍂🍁

Hi Beauties,

Welcome to another blog. Let’s talk Fall!! Although, winter is quickly approaching I didn’t want to forget my favorite time of the year. I love the falling of the leaves, and the cool breeze in the fall air. I know I’m not the only person who still enjoys stepping on the crunchy dried leaves on the ground. The Fall always seem to take me back to my childhood. I’m mainly obsessed with the warmth that the fall fashion, and earth tone colors give me.

Which brings me to Fall Favorites. When the seasons change I sometimes change my daily routine. Products that I use in the summer I might not use during the fall and winter months and vice versa. There are certain items that I use more than others based on how I’m feeling or how I like the product. During this fall season I’ve been obsessed with a few items. These items are my Fall go to items this year. It was so hard trying to narrow down which items I would choose. Each product offers and brings something different and unique.

So, Let’s dive in…

1.Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub

OMG!!! Listen, this body scrub smells so good and feels so good on my skin. It’s smells exactly how it’s described on the bottle. The scent is Tropical Mango. It’s sweet but not too sweet. It’s Certified Organic Shea Butter made with Natural Mango Purée. The Texture is thick and soft. My body feels so soothing and full of moisture after using this body scrub. I use it a few times a week. It’s absolutely AMAZE BALLS!!! You can purchase this sugar scrub at your local Walgreen’s. It’s priced at $10.79.

2. Tree Hut Shea Moisturizing Body Lotion

Just like the body scrub the body lotion smells just as amazing. The texture of the body lotion isn’t as thick as the scrub but it works just as good. After I use the sugar scrub I follow-up with the moisturizing lotion. As you can tell I love everything Shea butter. As stated on the back label Tree Hut’s Certified Organic Shea and Mango Purée provide a naturally rich source of antioxidants and vitamins A, C, E, and F to nourish the skin. I personally prefer to use this body lotion at night because it’s light weight and isn’t oily and heavy on the skin. You can purchase this body lotion at your local Walgreen’s store. It’s priced at $7.79

3. Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme, Color: 18 Obsession

This has to be my favorite go to matte lip creme this fall. Liquid matte lip sticks are changing the game right now. I love a good matte lip. When it comes down to beauty products Milani has not let me down. I’ve used just about all of their beauty/ makeup products. As far as the Matte Lip Creme it’s NOT drying, which is a common issue with a lot of matte lip sticks. It’s long-lasting and I can wear this shade in the daytime and at night. This color blends great with a dark brown liner. It will definitely be a year round pick for me. You can purchase this Lip Creme at your local Walgreen’s store. It’s priced at $7.99.

4. Kiss Multi-Angle Natural Lashes, Peony

Eye Lashes and brows are what bring out a beat face in my opinion. On a no makeup day I will only do my brows and my lashes. Those two things help me look put together lol. I chose these lashes to be in my Fall favorites because these are the only lashes I’ve been wearing this fall. I like the multi angled band. The 3 layer variation on the single band gives the lashes a full effect and helps blend more with my natural lashes. I purchased these amazing lashes at my local Walgreen’s store. It’s priced at $4.99

5. Shea Moisture African Black Soap Mud Mask

I don’t know where to start. This stuff right here is the best thing since slice bread. I’ve been using this mud mask for a while now. This is a yearly favorite of mine. I had to add it to the list. This mud mask is a must BUY!! Everything that it says it does, it DOES! Point blank and the period. The clarifying mud mask is made with Tamarind Extract & Tee Tree Oil. The clarifying mask draws out dirt and congestion while helping absorb excess oil and improve the appearance of troubled skin. A proprietary blend of African Black Soap and Raw Shea butter help to clarify, soothe, and balance blemished prone skin. I absolutely love this stuff. I use it 1-2x’s a week depending but you can definitely use it everyday. I purchased this product at my local Walgreen’s store. It’s priced at $14.99

What are your fall favorites?

DIY Raw African Shea Butter

Hi Beauties,

Let’s talk about Raw African Shea Butter. If you’re a naturalista like myself, I’m sure you are familiar with Shea Butter. Many naturals use Shea butter to moisturize and style their hair. It’s also commonly used to help with dry skin and to protect skins natural oils. It’s also great for twist outs, braid outs and Bantu knots and other natural hair styles. Shea butter is one of the most versatile natural beauty ingredient. Shea butter is great for stretch marks, lip balm, body butter, wrinkle remover, just to name a few.

What is Shea Butter?
Shea butter is a skin superfood that comes from the seeds of the fruit of the Shea (Karite) tree and that is naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F. It offers UV protection (it is SPF ~6) and provides the skin with essential fatty acids and the nutrients necessary for collagen production. Shea butter has been used in Africa and other countries for years to improve skin and hair.   Source:WellnessMama

I started using Shea butter maybe 4 years ago on my hair and skin. Like most people I suffer from dry skin. I’ve tried so many moisturizers on my skin but nothing worked or lasted. I would often get dry patches on my face, mostly when I would wear makeup. During the summer months I would often have to use 3 moisturizers on my face. While on YouTube I ran across a variety of videos about Shea butter and the benefits to using it. Shea Butter gives my skin the moisture that it needs and keeps my face patch free. Shea butter is also great for all skin types. My family including myself use Shea Butter daily.

Benefits to Shea Butter:
* Moisturizing: The concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids in Shea butter makes it incredibly nourishing and moisturizing for skin. It is often used to remedy dry skin and to help protect the skin’s natural oils.
* Reduces Inflammation: A 2010 study found that due to its cinnamic acid and other natural properties, shea butter was anti-inflammatory. (source) One compound in particular, lupeol cinnamate, was found to reduce skin inflammation and even potentially help avoid skin mutations. This also makes it beneficial for some people with acne.
* Skin Smoothing: Shea butter aids in the skin’s natural collagen production and contains oleic, stearic, palmitic and linolenic acids that protect and nourish the skin to prevent drying. With long term use, many people report skin softening and strengthening as well as wrinkle reduction. Source:WellnessMama.

DIY Shea Butter:
Now that we know what Shea butter is and benefits of using this butter. We can talk about my DIY Shea Butter Mix. I only use Raw, Unrefined, Organic, Grade A Shea butter. My Shea butter is hand whipped using all natural oil essentials. I use seven natural oils inside my shea butter. Each oil brings its own natural element to the Shea butter. Helping to create its soft and moisturizing texture.
